BAA Training, one of the TOP 3 biggest independent aviation training centers in Europe (, a part
of Avia Solutions Group (a global multi-service aviation company) is looking for a true leader to perform in a role of
MANAGING DIRECTOR capable and willing to set up and run business operations of aviation training in Italy, Rome.


We expect the Country Manager to:

  • Be a “one man army” performer who can take care of administrational daily routine up to busines development strategies in the region;
  • Be “hands-on” country manager who will make things work on your own;
  • Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the shareholders;
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities;
  • Ensure process and operational management in compliance with the BAA Training standards;
  • Report KPIs and daily procedures to the BAA Training Vilnius;
  • Align and control internal and external processes according to the company needs;
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationship with regulatory bodies, business partners in local aviation market;
  • Executing and developing the company by acquiring new clients, improving existing processes alongside with local partners;
  • Actively approach target customers and select pool of loyal clients in order to convey sales;
  • Expand social business network among clients, local suppliers and other stakeholders related to the Training Center operations
  • Represent organization in various public events.

What we are looking for:

  • Candidate, that would be willing work in Rome, Italy;
  • Experience in aviation – preferable;
  • Business driven mindset with understanding in Operations, Sales, and Finance management – experience being a CEO of start-up or smaller to medium companies would be advantage;
  • Familiarity with corporate law and best practices of  management;
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Successful experience in running / executing business development projects;
  • Result-oriented and client-driven mindset;
  • Details oriented approach handling daily management procedures;
  • Skills of persuasion, influencing and negotiation;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Fluency in  English language (Italian language – an advantage);
  • Ability to travel.
